is well equipped for private parties or fundraising events. We are always seeking to improve the Hall’s facilities and welcome constructive suggestions from all our hirers and patrons.
Access
There are two parking bays reserved for people with mobility problems.
The ground floor is wheelchair accessible with one accessible toilet, but steps lead up to the stage.
A chairlift is installed on the stairs leading to the first floor, including small meeting rooms and a projection room.
An induction loop, accessible through hearing aids fitted with a T-switch, can be switched on when the sound system is in use.
Large print versions of all documents are available on request.
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with a six-burner gas cooker, a dishwasher, a fridge freezer, a 26-bottle wine chiller, an ice-maker and a hot water boiler. A wheeled hot trolley is available. Mugs and plain white cups and saucers are free of charge. 130 place settings (dinner & breakfast plates, pudding bowls, cups & saucers and cutlery) are available for hire. Wine glasses are available on request.
Stage
There are cord-drawn curtains across the front of the stage. Plain backdrop curtaining can be drawn across the rear and the sides of the stage during performances. A short flight of stairs leads to a small green room with a toilet.
Sound equipment
A CD player is installed and may be made available on request.
A radio microphone - hand held or for head or lapel attachment - may be made available on payment of a refundable deposit.
Heating and Cooling
The central heating is set according to a timer. The settings can be overridden if necessary.
Air cooling units, which can also be used for extra heating, are installed in the main hall and the kitchen.
Lighting
The lights in the main hall are easily dimmable.
Toilets
Airblade dryers are installed in the ground floor ladies' and gents' toilets.
A nappy changing unit is to be found in the accessible toilet.
Extra toilets situated on the first floor will be unlocked on request.
Cloakroom
There are 97 coat hangers and 26 low level children's coat hooks.
Main Hall dimensions
Please be aware that:
Only in exceptional circumstances will the Village Hall Management Committee accept bookings for private parties at which not more than half the guests will be over 21 years. Fees are reviewed 1st April each year. The rate of hire current on the date the booking form is received will be applied.
The full fee is payable no later than 6 weeks before event.
If the hirer is not personally known to a member of the Management Committee, evidence of address in the form of a recent utility bill will be required before keys can be handed over.
If alcohol is to be sold or is included in a ticket price, an application for a Temporary Event Notice must be submitted to Tandridge District Council. Click here for general information about TENs. Click here to download an application form for a TEN.

Tatsfield Village Hall is located between Biggin Hill, Westerham, Oxted and Warlingham. A half-hourly bus service connects to the Croydon Tramlink. Buses run less frequently to Westerham and to Redhill via Woldingham & Caterham.
